The Pi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has finally returned to Morehouse College. There will be an informational meeting for those interested in membership on Sept. 5 at 6:00 P.M. in Forbes Arena.
Kappa Alpha Psi was founded on Jan. 5, 1911, on the campus of Indiana University Bloomington. The Pi chapter was founded on April 23, 1921, making it the first Divine Nine fraternity established at Morehouse.
The fraternity’s membership spans many industries such as business, entertainment, sports and politics. Individuals such as Ralph Abernathy, Colin Kaepernick, John Singleton, Bill Russell, and even the former President of Morehouse, John Silvanus Wilson Jr. ‘79, are members.
Collectively, each organization within the Divine Nine upholds the value of service to the global community. Now that Kappa Alpha Psi has returned to the campus, they can join every other organization on Morehouse and Spelman College’s campus and continue that mission together.
