On Jan. 26, 2025, Jayvon Givan was declared missing.
After over nine months missing, the body of Jayvon Givan was found hanging in the woods in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Oct. 1.
Authorities have ruled Givan’s death a suicide. However, Givan’s family and community members from Kansas City, Mo. disagree with this conclusion.
“This incident is not isolated. There have been three black men found dead hanging from trees in less than a month. This raises many questions that need to be answered.” Kansas City Discovery, a social media news source, stated.
The family asserts that Givan was not suicidal and his death was a homicide.
Givan’s passing follows the death of Delta State University student, Demartravion “Trey” Reed in Cleveland, MS.
This is a developing story.
