Tonight the College Park Skyhawks earned a runaway home win over the Westchester Knicks, sweeping the two-game series between the pair of teams. Coming into the game the Skyhawks sat at an even 8-8 record having won three of their last five games.
Throughout the game, both teams ran a fast past offense getting through their offensive sets rather quickly, looking for the quickest bucket available.
Going into the half, the Skyhawk held a comfortable 76-57 lead over the Knicks with their backcourt leading with fifteen points from Brandon Williams and thirteen from Langston Galloway.
The Knicks were able to cut their deficit down to nine going into the fourth and into their run ultimately coming within five points of the lead before the Skyhawks were able to retake control of the game and seal the deal.
In a game with ultimately only two lead changes, the home team was able to have a comfortable night with its biggest contributions from Brandon Williams with 24 points,10 assists, and five rebounds, and Armoni Brooks who had a total of 28 points (11 – 16 FG, 5 – 8 3FG) and seven rebounds off of the Bench.
The Skyhawks improve to 9-8 and look to continue their winning form in their next outing will be Saturday against the Long Island Nets for the team “Celebrating Black History” night.
