One of the most anticipated events in HBCU culture has officially had its dates announced.

Morehouse College will have its annual homecoming celebration on October 18, 2025. The highly anticipated event looks to bring members of the HBCU family across the country to enjoy a special an impactful weekend in Atlanta, GA.

Spelhouse (Spelman and Morehouse) share their homecoming celebration throughout the week before the homecoming date. This year, Spelhouse will begin their festivities on Sunday, October 12 and end on Saturday, October 18.

Throughout the week, their will be events for alumni and students and a homecoming concert that features a notable musical artist. In 2024, Spelhouse welcomed Coco Jones, Real Boston Richey, Hunxho, No Cap and had JT headline the event. Last year also included a fashion show event hosted by the AUC Agency.

Morehouse previously has had performances from Ne-Yo, Young Nudy, Lil Durk, 21 Savage and Drake at their homecoming concerts, the possibilities are endless for 2025’s concert.

Morehouse’s football team, the Maroon Tigers, will face off against Lane College on October 18. The game will take place during the Spelhouse tailgate and plsyers can expect a big crowd as the school with over 2,200 students has ganared over 10,000 people at their homecoming game before.

The Tigers will be looking to improve after last year’s 1-9 record and a win at Homecoming could be a big boost in their morale. The schedule for Morehouse’s 2025 football season can be found here.
